Set the Look and First Greeting
Choose a theme and greeting that make customers feel safe to ask.
Make the first screen clear, friendly, and easy to use.
Choose a look that fits your business
A cafe, hotel, clinic, law-adjacent service, local shop, and B2B company do not need the same mood. Choose a theme that feels like your brand.
The design should make the chat easy to read before it tries to look impressive.
Make the first greeting useful
The first greeting should tell customers what they can ask. For example: "Ask about hours, booking, parking, menu, or directions."
Avoid a vague greeting like "How can I help?" if customers may not know what this AI can answer.
Check it on a phone
Most customers will scan from a phone. Open the public chat on a phone and check the greeting, buttons, input field, and text contrast.
If a theme uses motion, make sure customers can still ask the first question quickly.
Quick checklist
- The theme fits your type of business?
- The greeting says what customers can ask?
- Is the text easy to read?
- Are the buttons and input fields easy to use?
- Is the theme tested on a phone?
